British Values and Prevent
Here at Jubilee Wood we are very diverse with children's families coming from all over the world, speaking over 50 different languages.
We promote British Values as one of the many ways that we can all come together.
We promote the following British values:
- Democracy- An understanding of how citizens can influence decision-making through the democratic process
- The rule of law- An appreciation that living under the rule of law protects individual citizens and is essential for their wellbeing and safety
- Individual liberty- An understanding that the freedom to choose and hold other faiths and beliefs is protected in law
- Mutual respect- An acceptance that other people having different faiths or beliefs to oneself (or having none) should be accepted and tolerated
- Tolerance A commitment to identifying and combating discrimination and prejudice
