Science - Electricity
Year Six have been building circuits and testing how resistance wires can affect the other components in the circuit. For example: How does resistance wore affect the brightness of a bulb? Prediction: The thicker the wire the brighter the bulb.

Literacy - The Giant's Necklace
To introduce our new book The Giant's Necklace by Michael Morpurgo, the children were placed into small groups, given a some cowerie shells and were challenged to see which group could make the longest necklace in a given time. This helped them understand the main character of the story and her motivation throughout the book.
History - Bletchley Park trip
The children dressed as evacuees and took the train to the famous Bletchley Park where they found out about the top-secret code breaking that happened there during World War II. The children were able to explore the mansion, grounds and huts as well as crack some codes!
